Dear Infor XA Customer,
On January 30th Microsoft released Windows Vista, the latest version of its Windows operating system. Infor is currently evaluating the impact of the new operating system on the client/server applications of Infor XA. Preliminary results of this effort have identified two issues:
R6 Browser help text does not launch. Instead, a window is launched by the operating system when help is requested which explains the help format is no longer supported.
R6 Browser and R7 Power-Link are not compatible with the advanced user interface in Windows Vista. Windows Vista switches to the basic interface when XA is launched.
Other issues may be discovered as our efforts proceed.
The status of XA applications that are certified to work with Windows Vista will be documented in an informational PTF on or before May 31st, 2007. Infor will send additional notifications when the PTF is available for download.Best Regards,

Dear Infor XA Customer,
Please note that beginning on August 1, 2007 the minimum iSeries/System i operating system level that will be necessary in order to apply Infor XA corrections will be i5/OS V5R3 or higher. This applies to all supported Infor XA releases. As of August 1, 2007, Infor will no longer be providing code corrections compatible with OS/400 levels of V5R2 or lower. IBM is withdrawing support of V5R2 on April 30th 2007.
